Tell us a little about yourself. Where you're from, age, etc.
I'm 25 years old and from Manila. I'm a freelance fashion stylist and a fashion blogger.
Why did you start blogging?
I've always loved fashion, since I was little. I started blogging back in 2009 when I was in 2nd year College. I just wanted to have an online diary where I can keep track of what I wear to school. At first I took pictures inside and with a basic camera. The photos were so bad. I never thought that people will come to appreciate and follow my blog! After a year, I had people asking me where I got my clothes and liking my style, and that's when I got serious, invested in a good camera, learned how to pose and how to choose the best lighting. Since then, I've been approached by Forever 21, Nike and other big names to be a brand ambassador for them. It's really been amazing how my blog following has grown in such a short time. I feel blessed.
Do you believe fashion bloggers have changed the fashion industry? In what way?
Yes definitely. Our style is very relatable and at least our readers can easily see where we got our clothes from, or how we style ourselves on a daily basis.
What are some challenges you've faced since you started blogging and how did you overcome them?
Well of course there are lots of criticisms. Before I'd get really affected but I've learned not to let shallow things get to me. I just listen to what my readers have to say and take it as a learning experience.
As a "fit girl", what inspires you to live a healthy lifestyle?
I want to be a stronger, healthier version of myself. I want to age gracefully (lol!) and working out makes me happy. I've seen positive effects on my skin and body because I workout and eat healthily. I also don't ever want to reach to a point where I'll get tired and slack off with training so I constantly need to push myself to workout.
If you could travel anywhere in the world for vacation or work where would you go and what essentials would you bring with you?
Actually, I'm actually afraid of flying, but I've always wanted to go to Europe! I'll definitely bring my camera to capture moments/memories, a comfortable pair of flats, a laptop (so I can still work and update my readers haha!) plus I'll bring a jacket since I easily get cold lol! So far I've traveled around Asia and hopefully to Europe and US next year.
